The City of Vaughan, also known as the City above Toronto, is located in the west area of York Region. Known as Canada’s fastest growing city since 1996,  Vaughan has grown to over a million people. It's increasing population by over 80% during this time has named it the 5th largest city in Canada.  Early Vaughan began with three towns: Thornhill, Woodbridge and Kleinberg in the early 1800’s. Today there are 30 more neighbourhoods within this beautiful city.
The City of Vaughan is comprised of nearly a dozen historic communities. Five communities in the urban area are officially designated as major urban centers. Most residents (and even non-residents) identify more with these smaller communities than they do with the city as a whole, including corporations such as Bell Canada, which uses the original community rate centres and lists them separately in the phone book, resulting in local calling areas being different throughout the city.

Vaughan is known as a family friendly city offering hundreds of acres of paths for biking and walking including the Kortright Centre. Vaughan has many parks and parkettes including numerous dog parks.

Each neighbourhood offers Community Centres and Recreational Facilities for all residents. Vaughan is also a wonderful city for the elderly and includes activities such as Chess, Bocce Ball, Lawn Bowling to mention a few.
Vaughan boasts some of the GTA’S best restaurants and provides big box stores and boutique shopping. The Vaughan Mills shopping mall is one of Ontario’s premier Outlet Centers, offering extended hours and a unique shopping experience. A Hallmark of the area is Canada’s Wonderland, Ontario’s largest theme amusement park which provides a destination point for tourists living outside of the area. A wonderful backdrop to the area is The Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, which is Canada's first Smart hospital. The hospital features smart technolgy systems and medical devices that sycronize communication to enhance patient care.

Vaughan lies within close proximity with two major transportation arteries,  400 and 407 Highways.  These two Highways provide access to all urban centers and amenities.

Vaughan Real Estate - Vaughan offers all types of Real Estate from large Luxury homes on large lots to smaller Condos and Townhouses. You will find most properties are detached homes from 1,800 to over 3,000 square feet. The older homes tend to be on larger lots and the newer homes tend to have smaller lots. Condo construction has continued to grow in Vaughan over the past 10 years, offering many newer buildings close to transportation with all amenities. The growth of Condos is partly due to the new extension of Toronto's Subway (TTC) aiming for transportation to reach the Vaughan City Centre. The average price of detached homes has risen to over a million dollars but you still get much more home at this price compared to Toronto.

Patterson, Vaughan Real Estate- Patterson is located in the north east area of Vaughan. The boundaries for Patterson are Major Mackenzie Drive in the North, Highway 7 in the South, East od Dufferin Street and to the West of Bathurst Street. The neighbourhood is newer built over the past 20 years. You will find only Detached and Townhouses in this area though a couple of cindo are proposed for the near future.
Patterson has great tansportation minutes to hwy 400, hwy 7 and 407. Minutes to the TTC makes for a great commute to the city. Patterson has been planned with wonderful greenspace and paths for walking and biking.

You will not find condos in this area but we are starting to see that change with a few projects in pre-construction. Prices range from $800,000 to over 5 million dollars. Most Patterson homes tend to be on 30 - 50 feet wide lots and depths tend to be less at 100 - 130 feet deep. 
Patterson has proven to be an excellent neighbourhood to raise a family offering everything a family needs from a beautiful Community Centre to open fields and family sports facilities. Shopping is convenient along Highway 7 and Major Mackenzie Drive offering everything from Big Box stores to small boutique shops and restaurants.
